About the Artist
A Life of Learning
Peter paints paintings. He thinks that the meaning of this practice is in the attempt and inevitable failure to capture the beauty of the world around him. He feels the trial and error that goes into honouring the fleeting nature of existence is what brings poignance to the painted picture. Without technical training he knows only to paint as he sees, resulting in each image being little more than the proof of perspective of a painter in practice.
Peter has enjoyed success at a solo show in Victoria BC hosted by Botched Event Space during the summer of 2025, and currently has work on display at The Cultch Gallery in Vancouver BC (1895 Venables St.). Other accolades include a cover spot with Montreal based publication Yolk Literary (December 2024).
